All 37 pets were entered into a contest where the winners were chosen by you—the community! The prize: a featured spot in the 2027 PAWS of Southwest calendar, which will be available at the Fall Family Fest on October 11. You can now pre-order the 2027 PAWS of Southwest calendar at the early-bird discounted price of $15 when you register for Fall Family Fest. Prices increase to $20 for purchases made during or after Fall Family Fest on October 11.

Voting took place online from July 31 through September 5, as well as in person at the Southwest DC Community Center booth at the Saturday Farmers Market SW. Below were the pets and their assigned voting numbers. Voters selected their top 5 picks by choosing the numbers that corresponded to the photos of their favorite pets.

The winning pets will be announced in the upcoming calendar—stay tuned!
