The 2nd annual Mutt Strutt and Pups in the Park celebration, hosted by the Southwest DC Community Center, was held on Saturday, October 7 at Lansburgh Park. Thank you to the Southwest community, volunteers, Ward 6 Council Member Charles Allen, our event sponsors, and pet vendors, all of whom helped to make this annual event a success!

The inaugural Mutt Strutt and Pups in the Park celebration hosted by the Southwest DC Community Center was held on October 8 at Lansburgh Park. Thank you to the Southwest community, volunteers, elected leaders, MPD’s K-9 unit, our event sponsors, and pet vendors, all of whom helped to make the Mutt Strutt a success! The SWBID hosted a spooktacular event on Halloween at Lansburgh Park with food, music, and community organizations, including the Southwest DC Community Center, had tables set up with a variety of activities for children. The SWDCCC’s table included a bean bag toss and giveaways.

The SWBID held a spooktacular event on Halloween at Lansburgh Park with food, music, and community organizations, including the Southwest DC Community Center, which had a table set up with a variety of activities for children.

The Southwest DC Community Center hosted a professional pet photoshoot partnered with Happy Paws photography. Photographed pets were entered into a contest for a chance to be featured in the PAWS of Southwest DC Calendar.
